Hello, I ran in to the IPFire website and read a few of the threads here. I wonder if it is suitable for an individual user with only modest computer knowledge. Thanks raiderfan47
Well, I use it... It's simple enough to configure, if you have some knowledge of Linux and networking. I would advise caution with the fancier features though; if not configured properly, things like SSH access can land you in a world of hurt. I personally just use it as a firewall, and that's that. Also I can't really speak for its security. It works for me (so far), but that doesn't mean it will work for you.
