Mamutu is a behavior blocker and IObit Security 360 has an extremely light HIPS. They do have some overlap, however, IObit Security probably covers a few things Mamutu does not, and vice verse.

They can really only complement each other :)

On an italian forum I talk about antimalware
    (here http://www.hwupgrade.it/forum/showthread.php?t=1825614&page=65 )
we are testing IOBit but we discover is not so good on realtime protection, he detect a malare on scan but not if the same is paste on the wallpaper , alias good on demand & poor on realtime
Investigating on it we also discover somethig strange on the realtime description as you can see on IOBit protection screen talkin' about realtime on the italian translation you can read somehing like that: for saving resources only removes the most dangerous threats
and our test malware not detected is very dangerous, I don't know if the same issue is on your english version

    can you explain ? Thanks

IObit is new so I won't expect it to be a top performer at the moment. I use Antivir Premium and Online Armor for full-time protection. I know that Mamutu and Threatfire clash with OA. Mamutu seems to have similar alerts compared to OA. I gave up on clicking on both programs.

Prevx & Avira open 100 popup saying is a malware but Iobit nooooo
    Poor software IMHO

FWIW- MSE detected both .exe files with a right click scan while MBAM did not. MSE also detected the TS while still in the zip while Prevx did not.

well my friends computer is slow as molasus so i figured id install iobit and give it a scan, iobit found 48 infections and removed all with ease, went and scanned with MBAM after, and it detected nothing, another good example of IOBit being a very handy scanner :thumb:

Well, the scanner seems very good but, like seen in a few review of Iobit 360 on you tube, the real time protection doesn't seem to protect as well?!?!

Is there a reason why the real time protection doesn't protect against everything that the scanner can found and remove?

    Thanks,
    Atomas31

Well, IObit gone for me. Didn't like the fact after leaving my system on I come back to a window telling me to update my malware protection. Yes, I know I can purchase the Pro version for it to update automatically, but ThreatFire is free and updates itself.

I also had on one occasion, witness IObit shut down completely. The system tray icon disappeared all of a sudden. I then opened up task manager and all 3 IObit processes were gone. No explanation, nothing, just gone.

In my personal and very limited test (but others have the same bad result) it seems not exist a RealTime in IOBit free

Free version has realtime protection but, as Romagnolo1973 wrote, there is a problem with realtime protection. I also point to that problem in post #115. Shortly after that, things have improved, but later the old problem appeared again.

As it seems IObit is solid for on-demand scanning but it is not very useful for realtime protection. :'(

Does any representative of Iobit comments or give any explanation about this issue?

I download Iobit paid but unfortunately is the same of the free, with license key you get powerfull tools unblocked

I have a post here where I tested several antivirus or antimalware VS TrojanSimulator

    http://www.hwupgrade.it/forum/showpost.php?p=28987659&postcount=225

you can see with your eyes that IOBIT don't works (is the last), no allert on scan, no allert on realtime, everything possible was setting to maximum and On but it's seems Spybot :) or pior
Obviously is in Italian language but image talk better of 10000 words

Hello all. Sorry for the late reply.

IObit know about the real-time protection missing certain threats, and are working to fix it right now. We can expect a fix in about a week or so :)

As for the trojan simulator. We do not detect it as a threat, because it is NOT a threat. However, I do agree the HIPS should pick it up. I will forward this to the developers :)
