    @jmonge & lbrad -- U R correct. No reboot needed. Thanks!

    I trialed MF with Shadow Defender. MF has a nice GUI. Friendly & intuitive to use. Only 2 processes per Process Explorer. Heavy use of virtual memory but moderately low usage of I/O, cpu, & ram. It felt very light when I surfed the net or ran apps.

    Subject to whatever MF's protective effectiveness turns out to be in the future, I like it for set-it-forget-it fans. Myself, I am a tweak-freak so I'm happier with security apps that offer much greater configurability than does MF.

    As to IOBits' checkered past -- per John 8:7 I am :blink:

    IObit did have an FP with Malwarebytes and Hitman PRO but I have reported it to them to fix it.

    I run the "classic installer" versions of Opera, which means I still use older builds sometimes. I have a several versions installed.

    Obviously, a FP by Malware Fighter.

    I run MF in Shadow mode from time to time. I really like it EXCEPT it does not have a list of allowed processes. Neither does it have a list of blocked processes. I consider these lists to be essential. Otherwise, how can I change my mind or correct an error? Example: if I erroneously block a process, how can I UNblock it?
