I got this notification this morning from Driver Booster, which gave me the option to install the patch from Microsoft. As for ASC being able to fix things like this, it can, as seen below with a patch for WannaCry last year. I installed ASC on two vulnerable systems this morning and got no offer to patch the system for Meltdown, but maybe if I had left the systems running, in time I would have received an alert.
I got 1 offer to patch, (on a win 10 laptop that has windows updates turned off)... Took 10 minutes or so for the patch to install, hit reboot, all went well. Installed the same patches for wanna cry on same laptop. No issues.....
They should consider renaming their company two-bit, because IoBit frankly has a lot of snake oil in it's product marketing.
seriously - how many driver tools do you have installed for nuts? https://www.wilderssecurity.com/thr...pon-install-message-i-dont-understand.399723/ ofc some of them have to fail because databases never wont match. in fact such tools are destroying systems for sure because they dont care about usability of drivers - they install the latest if it will match or wont. iobit in general is really questionable.
@Brummelchen , Agreed. It's really all junk. As for Drive Booster, if they cannot even write in proper English ... Less is more. Except that I'd never go without a proper imaging system.
