    I absolutely agree! :thumb:
Omitting the English language leaves no ground for many things to be done...:doubt:
Unless the specif vendor wants Diskshot to be geographically-limited when it comes to Usage...:doubt:

I have another question for dax, does it work properly in a Standard User Account?

Would buy one if it wasn't a rentware and if of course had English version. Otherwise no point.

Not tested it but it would also work on SUA.

    Dear mods,

Is there any way to edit my old threads? this thread was for an introduction and it needs continual revision,
and especially I got a specific request from the developer. Thanks

Will get some translation script (sooner or later), it's an honor for me to translate this software.
and informing that v3.7 is almost done, There will be a multilingual support as of v4.0.

    Hi dax123
Do you have any idea of the estimated time frame for v4.0's release.

This looks like a very promising product. Wish it was translated in English. I have also read some post in this thread about Shadow Defender not fully protecting the MBR. I can't see that being true because if that was so it would have been bypassed by malware several years ago. I have yet to see anyone prove that Shadow Defender has been breached by any form of malware. I have heard claims, but never seen any proof so until someone can show me a legit test performed by someone that knows what they are doing then I will not believe that. I could see SD being bypassed if there was corrupt installation so it's not completely out of the realm of possibility. The truth is the developer has released very little info about how SD works under the hood. Shadow Defender is not fully compatible with SSD's so there is suppose to be a trim issue, but thats because SD is not compatible with all SSD drives.

If you've read dax's explanation and tests, I can say that he really knows what he is doing and actually proved how SD can't protect the MBR.

I may not have understood dax123's explanation, but if he is saying that SD cannot protect the MBR when not in Shadow Mode (which I wouldn't expect it to do) then I simply don't see that being an SD issue! :doubt:

Shadow Defender has stood up to everything I have thrown at it and never been breached. That said Diskshot may be something to check into for some but not myself as I'm very content/satisfied with SD. If it ain't broke........

    Hi TS,

I would agree with what you are saying, if indeed that is what daz123 is suggesting (but I'm not sure about that). Why would anyone expect SD to protect the MBR when not in Shadow Mode? Maybe we are missing his point. o_O

However, Diskshot sounds fantastic - but there's no way I would consider it without English installation and operation screens!

Pleasantly suprised and completely satisfied with the protection SD makes possible. Have deliberately stressed it with various MBR disrupters and it is returned the system (XP Pro) again and again to original form without error.

It W0RKs! and proves itself without fail each test! Gotta luv it!!!!!!!!!

But would absolutely welcome the additional shielding of DiskShot should it ever be translated plainly in English here.

    Regards EASTER

Yeah, I've been looking for a SD replacement on 64 bit systems with SSD. Something with some kind of support.... If you guys come up with a solid English version I wouldn't mind paying for it $25.
