Some additional food for thought... While doing a test mentioned above, I first took a pre-test AXTM snapshot of the system, then took a pre-test Macrium Reflect Differential of the same system. After some test work, I then used the Macrium WinPE recovery media to restore the system to the pre-test condition... all worked just fine. BUT, when I tried to take an after Macrium restore snapshot with AXTM, it found the partition (the same one it was protecting) to be a completely different partition and took a brand new FULL baseline... I guess this surprised me a bit. I don't know what it was that the Macrium restore did to the partition to cause AXTM to think it was a different partition. Any thoughts on this greatly appreciated... could Macrium have restored the partition with a totally different partition signature? I'm just wondering what Macrium did during the restore process that would have made AXTM think it was a brand new partition and caused it to completely re-image its partition.
