    Hi Iurie,

Any feedback on why the "open other backup's" option in local storage is not working on some systems in the latest beta's?

    Thanks

Or I don't know, keep the internal testing folder....internal --as now seems to be the logical plan.

But keep up the good work however you do it!

Hi, Just wondering if the backups appear on your exterior drive in the AXTM folder while not appearing in the browser.

They do but this version is UNUSABLE... there's really no reason to discuss it further.

Let's wait for something HOT to try... that hopefully fixes some of the issues some of us are actually having.

    Hello twl845,

Yes, AX64 makes the backups and they are physically saved/stored on the hard drive that I use to back up to. AX64's Backup Browser only sees the first initial full backup and does not see any of the subsequent incremental backups. Also note this has only happened to me with build 1.4.1.43, which was meant for an internal build for the developers, not as a beta release. This is the only version that I have had this issue with. HTH...

Right. As Froggie said, lets forget .43 exists. :)

I need a big pile of help.

Wife's new Toshiba laptop. Has AX64 on it. Doesn't yet have Macrium Reflect.

Somehow the system got stuck in resuming or not resuming from hibernation. When I opened it up this morning I got the following screen:

    Windows Resume Loader

The last attempt to resume the system from its previous location failed. Attempt to resume again? (Use arrow keys to highlight your choice.)

    – Continue with system resume
    – Delete restoration data and proceed to system boot menu

BUT, my arrow keys are not working, meaning that "continue with system resume" is highlighted and I can't change it.

Pressing Enter has no effect. It's frozen in perpetuity. When I hold the on/off button, it just seems to go back into hibernate limbo. Turning it back on results in the same Windows Resume Loader screen.

Painful admission: have not created an AX64 CD/USB backup thing yet, though I'm not sure it could help right now. Info: not sure which version of AX64 she has, don't think it's relevant. AX64 isn't the problem.

    Did I mention...heeeeeeellllllllllllpppppppppppp? o_O

Chamlin, is there a system reset button you can press, or perhaps remove/replace battery and try to reboot. Only my thoughts, I have very little knowledge of laptops.

Create an AX64 Rescue Media on another computer, boot from it (after hard shutdown), and then restore.

Thanks, guys. Yes, I can use my PC's Rescue Media. That's a great idea to store in my mind for another time. Wasn't going to work for this situation because I couldn't get the system to reboot at all. But now, I'll create the laptops Rescue Media as I should have done before.

This "emergency" was resolved when I realized that the up/down arrows weren't working on my USB keyboard, but it was worth a try to use the laptop's own keyboard/up-down arrows...which took care of the situation.

    Sorry for the alarm. :-*

Hi, can you explain to me please why it needs to be a hard shutdown?
Simply restarting and then booting the boot cd is a bad idea?
    TY

How else would you shutdown when it's stuck resuming from hibernation?

I usually cut the power cord (with rubber gloves and boots of course).

Aaargh aaargh aaargh ad infinitum

On more serious tone, laptops (with removable batteries) have always been easier (& safer) to reset/restart: disconnect it from wall power outlet, then remove the battery, done.

Desktops without a reset button/switch (who invented this "innovation"?) are more hazardous to reset (for the person doing it, of course).
I imagine their line of thought: laptops don't need reset button, so why can't desktops follow suit

On most laptops I have used you hold down the power button for an extended time (e.g. 5 sec), or am I missing something.

No because of their history. You may have had a good experience but many users of Comodo's CTM had their computers destroyed. All along Comodo acting as if they were surprised. Then they would tell users they would look into the problems (and never respond) or offer them solutions they knew did not work. I was one of those users who had two computers totally destroyed.
The truth was they had old RRX code and they were attempting to update it but they were way over their heads. They promoted CTM as superior to RRX knowing all along how dangerous and unfinished it was. They also kept users believing a complete rewrite was in the process in an effort to keep CTM alive. What they did to users was a crime.
I will never use any of their products nor should anyone else IMO.
Sorry for the rant but the wounds are deep.

    Hi Iurie,

Can confirm "open other backup's" option in local storage is now working, also did a quick backup, hot restore and cold restore without problems. Windows 7 64 bit

    Thanks
