    Greets again Isso

Thanks for ringing in to the board and especially to letting us know that something is definitely brewing over there in your camp.

Please alert us ASAP when you can release the news. :gack:

Reading Isso's last seemingly upbeat post, I get the impression he will return with AX64 under a new name and owner, basically the same as the now impending next version, where everyone can purchase the possibly new named product without skipping a beat. So if I were you I would sit tight for the next week and see what materializes.

Depends who ends up behind the wheel I suppose. A week or two is no biggie, let's see what happens. I've got software money to burn though whether I'll last without making a stupid purchase instead of this excellent app is anyone's guess ;)

    Cheers

Lucky old you! Care to say from where? Freebies seem to be expired from what I can see.

Don't mind paying by the way, just need to be sure I trust who I'm paying to. Isso fits the bill, just need to know he still drives the bus and if not who does.

    Thanks

I'd be delighted if someone like Macrium was involved personally.

A small deviation from the current topic, but is anyone else experiencing instances where an hourly full backup is made instead of an incremental? Consequently an "automatic hourly backup" is taking a couple of hours and slowing the PC down. It happens at least twice a day

I know a bug with this description was fixed in the last release but I'm still seeing this happen sporadically and I cant work out a pattern.

I'm going to check the disk for errors and do a clean install of AX64, but I wont bother if this is a known issue.

    Thanks

An update on my 1145 post. On XP machines it's a big improvement. On my Win 7 X64, since updating, I've had chkdsk run twice. All is well, but I don't like that. Back to 1133 on that machine.

This is certainly a conundrum. My trial ran out and I'm ready to buy but no place to spend my money. Something that does not happen often.

Interestingly the app is still making backups but the browser is disabled so no recovery functionality. Luckily I have other methods but this is certainly a first.

I hope Isso has good news.

Heh, sorry about that Manny, I know that I am the one who recommended AXTM to you. But actually, despite removing it from my machine, I am still recommending it to folks and have even installed it on my wife's machine. AXTM never failed me but I only ever did six hot restores and 4 of them were just testing. I simply missed that old, comfy, reliable, cozy FirstDefense boot screen. And after 12 years of unreal reliability I returned to what I trusted. But I still feel that this new program has the potential to become the "new" FD-ISR. Best of luck to Isso and his endeavors.

I appreciate that Acadia but really this has nothing to do with you. I'm sure Isso will be OK and this is just temporary. What I am is surprised that you went back to old software. For sure a 12 year old program is of Jurassic age in PC terms. I get it that it's like an old shoe but those too wear out. Maybe there's still a little life in the old guy.

To repeat, I am still highly recommending this new AXTM to everyone. This is only version 1.xxx, can you imagine how awesome this program will be by 4.xxxx?

    Dear Acadia,

You can easily have AX64 boot screen.

    Best regards,

    Mohamed

I know I can have it but I don't know if the word "easily" applies. Of course, after the major hack that I had to do to get FDISR onto my Win7 system, that may be simple. Fact is, since my Win7 boot sector has already been hacked, I might as well stick with FDISR but only because I am so comfy familiar with it, not that I do not trust AXTM. Like I said above, I even installed AXTM on my wife's machine and I am addicted to breathing! :D

I believe that this sort of thing can only happen if there is a discrepancy between whats stored on the backup drive and AX64s record of whats stored on the backup drive. Is it possible that the backup drive is periodically losing connection and reconnecting with the PC? This could, I think, lead to this problem.

Greetings all! I have a simple question... I think.

Is the AX64 TM driver active during SAFE MODE... can I use the app and all its functions while under that mode?

    Thanks!

Froggie... Isso? It's hard to tell sometimes... :D
