    Hi all,

You might want to use Linux, but you can't, because there are those sites that simply refuse to be viewed in anything else but Internet Explorer.

Well, there's a solution - Internet Explorer for Linux script (IEs4Linux), which allows you to run IE 5.0-7.0 on your favorite distro of choice. I don't like IE and advise against using it, but if this can help bring users to the happy crowd of Linux, then so be it.

    Here's the tutorial:

    Comments and suggestions are welcome.

    I already run/use IE 6/7 in Linux.

Might be worth mentioning that if you want to install IE7 worth following the instructions at http://www.tatanka.com.br/ies4linux/page/Beta .

IE7 seems pretty stable on my machine and is good enough for purposes of testing pages in different browsers, but as mentioned is it only an early beta and not suited for daily use - especially as it is currently only the IE7 render engine functioning, it uses the IE6 UI !

    Cheers.

    The horror of ...

    Using IE?
    Using IE on Linux?
Users not switching to Linux because of 2-3 websites?

Well certain sites won't work without Active X features, www.bueno.com for instance, it needs to install an Active X, its a site where one can make free calls to any number in US, there are some other sites like that as well.
