I keep getting the message..... Internet Explorer has stopped working ... and then it crashes. I tried the reset but it did not work. Does MS have a fix it app or could i uninstall ie11 and install again to get a better copy.

    @Dragon1952,
Also think of some incompatible combination of one ore more security applications and/or IE add-on.
    Did IE work before?
What changed? Did you install (or update) new security software and/or IE add-ons?

Not in Control Panel, Programs, Uninstall a program,
but in "Turn Windows features on or off".
    There you can disable IE11.

However, before you go disabling and reinstalling IE11, please, first read what I wrote in my previous post:

Sidebar and gadgets are back after new ie11 install. Same ie11 crashing on yahoo site, so it looks like the problem is ie11 and yahoo for some reason do not get along good.

Perhaps you can enlighten us, about what to click, to see that crash?

    And you haven't answered:

If you won't provide any information to work with, I'm gonna unwatch this thread.

I see HMPA in his sig. I've had that cause this issue before. Might be worth checking into.

No issues on my systems with HMPA and IE11.
If Dragon1952 does not tell us about relevant details, like new security software combinations or updates and/or IE add-ons, and if Dragon1952 does not tell us about what to click on Yahoo to see IE11 crashing, it's no use trying to figure out what is the cause of the issue.

All this crashing with ie11 on yahoo started after my hd went bad and i had a fully patched win 7 sp1 put on a new ssd for me. IE11 crashes on yahoo now and my windows photo viewer does not work and bring up my photos. The guy who did the work said something about ie11 time out might be causing the problem and other clients of his get with ie11 after he wipes a drive a puts a new image back on with ie11.

After he put a new win7 image on a new ssd and i got the computer back, the cat control center for my graphic card would crash after boot and restarts. I changed it to compatibility mode for win 7 and it does not crash anymore.

I started getting these crashes like Dragon1952, starting recently. They're annoying. Something like this? I have HMPA also but not sure if that's a direct cause although it was with Firefox, also involving a bunch of dll. Guess I'll have to enable IE crash reporting to really try for some answers.

As I asked before: what exactly is it on Yahoo that you click that crashes IE11?
If you know, but you don't tell, that is not helpful.

Do you mean that more of that guy's clients get that IE11 issue after he wipes a drive and puts a new image back on?
Perhaps that guy is doing something wrong? Does he know what he is doing?
What does he use for an image?
A slipstreamed Windows installation medium based on the original Microsoft ISO with added updates, among which IE11? That should be OK.
But if he used an image of your own original HDD installation, or some standard image, not suited to your new SSD hardware, or with messed up software or settings, that may cause issues.

I get those and I am on 10 and don't have HMPA installed. It happens to me only when I open a new tab and only randomly not every time.

    Thanks very much, Dragon1952.
I tested on Windows 7 x64 with HMPA (for other details, see my signature).
No IE11 crash on those mentioned yahoo.com links, nor on msn.com.

In my ie11 advanced settings it has use TLS 1.0 1.1 and 1.2 checked off but SSL 2 and 3 are not checked off. Is this the way it should be.
