Done a search and nothing comes up yet. I am scanning a PC with NOD32 AV Database 3523 after trying to deal with a AntiVirusXP 2009 infection. Turns out the PC is still on XP SP1 and has no Anti Virus and loads of viruses. NOD32 AV will be going on after.

I've removed the Hard Drive and I'm scanning with another PC using a USB-IDE connector. It's finding loads of files in the C Root but for about 40% of them it reports

Further to that from the log it report the files with the blank information is showing F:\dfjk387jfs.exe - Win32/Virut.E virus - Internal Error (5001) These files seem to get left on the disk too....

    Any ideas?

If possible, please send that file (F:\6dhhjdw8.xe) in a password protected archive to samples[at]eset.com with this thread's url in the subject.

In the example above i made up the filename but they all do have random names like that. NOD32 is sending file to ESET all the time whilst it scans.

I'll find and example and try to send it as per above.

    4 Samples sent

Seems fixed now. Out of 2585 files found so far 3 or 4 had errors when trying to delete the files....

    Upto to 2629 now
