    Interesting, thanks for sharing. The salient point in that article IMO was that a lot of people want to be found, that's why they use these apps.

    Kind of OT... in all the screaming & crying about facebook's privacy policies, I rarely hear anyone say "if the privacy issues really bother you, don't use facebook."

    If they want to be found there is only one way to know that. Facebook should make all defaults be set to private, that way a user needs to set information to public themselves.

    If that was true then this "outrage" currently wouldn't be happening, because everyone would know that these people want to be found. The only thing causing the "outrage" is the fact that privacy isn't facebook's default setting.
