    I am new to Acronis. Have downloaded yesterday the demo version of Acronis True Image 9.0. During the installation we suffered an electric problem and the computer stopped before the installation was ready. Since I can not install True Imaga and I am getting the enclosed screen all the time.

    Please help!

    Joop Duke

    PS.:

    Tried to enclose image but it did not work.

    The message I get reads something like instalation interupted try again. I did try several tmes but all the time same message

    Hi JoopDuke!
    I suffer the same problem but without "electrical problems".
    Looks to me like your interrupted installation left traces on your PC that the ATI installer can not cope with.
    Have you tried a manual uninstall like described here https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showpost.php?p=773771&postcount=8
    It did not work for me but apparently worked for others.

    Dont forget to reboot when the procedure asks for it!

    Hope that helps

    Hello JoopDuke,

    Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

    We are sorry for the delayed response.

    Please do the following in order to make sure that you downloaded the installation file flawlessly:

    - Download the checksum utility from http://www.irnis.net/files/xcsci.exe

    - Unpack and run the application and click on the ellipsis sign to browse and select the installation package you downloaded;

    - Click the "Start" button;

    - The MD5 value for the trial version of Acronis True Image 9.0 Home must be [ 76d1d1b6edf2778d623f503dd2ed59d0 ]

    If the MD5 value is not [ 76d1d1b6edf2778d623f503dd2ed59d0 ] then please re-download the trial version once again.

    If that's not the case and the checksum calculated is identical to the one mentioned above then please try removing all registry entries related to the previous Acronis True Image installation(s), if any, using Windows Installer CleanUp Utility. Then please try to install the trial version of Acronis True Image 9.0 Home once again and see the result.

    If that does not help either then please do the following:

    - Launch the product installation file once more;

    - Right-click on the "Install Acronis True Image" button and select "Extract";

    - Select the path for extracting the component and click "Save";

    - Go to the Run prompt (Start -> Run) and issue the following command:

    msiexec /i msi-name /l*v log-name

    Where msi-name is the name of the file you extracted in steps 2-3 and log-name is the path and the name to the log file you want to save the output to;

    - Reproduce the problem and collect the log file created during the installation.

    Please also create Windows System Information as it is described in Acronis Help Post.

    Please submit a request for technical support. Attach the files and information collected to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with the most suitable solution as soon as possible.

    Thank you.
