Install Problem Win 7 64 bit

    I am getting the following message when attempting to install NOD on my 64 bit system...
    "There is a problem with this installer package..A DLL required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor"

    This isn't all that helpful a message. Can someone help me please.
    I have re-downloaded the installer package and it is definitely 64 bit.

    Hello,

    Please run the ESET Uninstaller tool as per these instructions.

    Now try reinstalling your ESET security solution and see if it makes a difference.

    If the problem persists, please download a new installer from our website, but this time to a different directory than before. You may also try by using a different browser or download manager, or even from another computer.

    Let us know how it goes.

    Tony,

    Using the Uninstaller did the trick although i'm not sure why. It was a fresh install in the first place.

    You might care to run sfc /scannow from the command prompt as well for an integrity check on your system.
