    Hi,

    I installed Acronis True Image Home as admin.
    During installation I got the choice to make the program available for all user on my machine.

    Well, now when I try to run the application from a normal user account, an error claims that the user does not have permission to run the application.
    Why that? For other applications it simply worked. Do I need to perform extra changes?

    Thank for your help & Best regards, /// Thomas

    Hello Thomas,

    Thank you for using Acronis True Image

    The Windows user account you use to log in to your system should have administrator rights to run Acronis True Image tasks.

    If you want to run a task under a user account with no administrator rights, you should make the account a member of the Backup Operators group:

    * Log in under an account with administrator rights;
    * Click Start -> Run and type lusrmgr.msc;
    * On the Local Users and Groups window click Users;
    * Right-click the user you want to add to Backup Operators and choose Properties;
    * On the User Properties window click Add;
    * On the Select Groups window type in Backup Operators and click OK.

    This will make the user account a member of Backup Operators and will allow you to do scheduled tasks under it.

    Thank you.
