The other day I was booting-up my laptop when instead of updating, NOD32 gave me an error message saying that I had an incorrect username or password. So I went and dugout my old receipt, entered the correct info, and the world was once again a better place.

The next day however, the same problem occured. Then the next and the next! Everyday for the past week i've had to re-enter my username and password so that I can update the latest definitions, any ideas why this is? I bought a 2-year license, it doesn't expire until the middle of 2008.

As always, any help would be appreciated!

What error do you get when you hit the "Update now" button?

I think is is the same update issue for everyone. The secure download also seems to have the same error. I've tried a few random severs and tried re-entering the user/pass.

Correction: The web download for the binaries appears to be working.

it would seem there were some authentication issues over the weekend, which do appear to be fixed now.

we just heard directly from Eset that there is an authentication server issue - so to bypass the problem - which was only affecting perhaps 10% of licenses
