New laptop and in process of setting up new email; new provider is Spectrum (formerly Time Warner Cable). Spoke with their technician today and was told the Outgoing server would be "mail.twc.com" and the port should be 587. I asked about the Incoming server and was told to use the same "mail.twc.com" but I failed to ask what port. My question is will I have a problem with using the same port for both the Incoming and Outgoing server? The technician told me while I could use my email right away she suggested I didn't do anything else until the weekend. Anyone know? As always I will appreciate all replies and would thank you in advance. John
FYI. Step-by-Step Instructions: TWC Mail (scroll down to Email Client Setup). John, most of the Clients' Incoming Server port is 110, except for Outlook for Windows 8 (Port 143 because of IMAP).
