I never received the initial e-mail from Al, even though we agreed I'd take part of the beta-testing. But I suppose I'll just need to stick around the beta forums?

Shadek, an unfortunately crash happened while sending the mails around and we are not sure who actually received the mail.. Thats why we wants you all who didnt received a mail, to mail back or contact us somehow else, to insure you all can be a part of the beta.

I am sure you understand ;) And do you find immunet 2.0 satisfying?

    Best regards
    Pedersen

I am a bit disappointed that the free version does not scan packed files. Since this is a much used method of confuscating malware, I have doubts on the usefullnes of the free version. Another issue for Immunet free is the avaiability of a good cloud freeeware alternative (Panda, version 1.1 also has behavior analysis based on Tru Prevent).

Best wishes to Immunet and Al, but this will be a tough one.

If I test the tetra engine in a VM, does that mean I can run it against malware samples? :)

Sure you can but dont expect it to be fully capable of capture them all, its still unstable thats why people need to be quite technician and run it in VM.

But if you like, I can post a link where you can upload your samples directly to immunet so they can classify them as threats?

Ohh forgot to say, if any of you need to talk directly to me or something like that (just talk?), add "pedersen175" on yahoo IM.

This is really looking good folks, I know you've all worked your butts off too. The program seems very light so far for me, and the GUI is eye candy for sure!!! The settings and menus seem well thought-out. Can't wait to see it when it is done baking!

    Congratz!

Agreed. The latest build is really lite, just like version 1.

Running build 2.0.1.5 against some malware samples. Very bad detection rate (but as the Immunet crew stated... their engines are crippled at the moment). Extremely slow unpacking from .rar. What's up with that? I posted about it on the beta forum. Furthermore, the quarantine system is not order. Posted about that as well. :) Will be interesting to see when the product's out in a sharp version of what it's capable of.

I just hope you add official support for Prevx. :)

Just a little edit, the tetra engine wont be tied in VM

BUT a new config file will be made to SPERO engine and it will require VM.

Pedersen should we email Al if we are in on the beta testing or is that just to join in to get the free Pro key?

You should mail him about in which group you want to be (1 or 2 read above) and then your forum name on http://scientia.immunet.com/

You need to do this to get free 1 year pro license. If you dont mail him you wont receive any..
And of course you need to be a beta tester (pm me if you not is)

Ill be throwing 1,000 samples at it in a VMware bed here soon when I get some time :) It's running rock solid along side the following I have tested it with

    PCTools Internet Security
    PCTools Spyware Doctor with AV

All PCTools products above warn, and ask to uninstall immunet (which I ignored) zero problems

    NOD32 4.2
    GData InternetSecurity 2011

    I received my key :)
    @whitedragon551
Are you sure it's activated(is there a orange bar saying X days trial remaining?)
I entered my key during install, and it didn't say it was wrong so I assumed it was activated, but it wasn't. At the bottom of the settings panel you can enter it again, that worked for me.
