    I did suggest that you use a mode that skips the good blocks and only focuses on the ones that fail.
    If the added time to fix a few blocks is longer than than you can tolerate, you will have to simply decide if the blocks contain anything you need to save anyway.
    If the imaging software has the option to ignore empty tracks maybe it will skip over the problem areas.

    My own option for copying files from a corrupt drive is "Unstoppable Copier"
    https://www.roadkil.net/program.php/P29/Unstoppable Copier
    It has a variety of modes and speeds depending on how hard you want it to try.
    I usually use it in 2 passes.
    First time in quickest mode and set to ignore anything that fails.
    Second pass I put in slowest mode and set to only do the files that failed.

    For imaging of faulty drives the same author provides a "Raw Copy" tool.

    @A_mouse thanks a lot.
    Gonna check out that mode you mentioned. I've used HDD Regenerator many times in the past but I can't recall that mode, maybe I didn't watch carefully.

    Also I'm going to try Unstoppable Copier. Sounds great.

    But how is this accomplished. To identify bad sectors HDD Regenerator needs to first scan the whole drive no? And for that it takes time.
    Or if you could show me how cause I don't find any option to do so. Please.

    It took almost twice than FastCopy to complete the test. Too much but I can keep it for any future scenario anyway.
