I'm not able to take my backup on DVD. However, in the description (when i'm using «Creat Image Wizard») it's whritten:

The estimated size of the image archive is 4.806 GB and the estimater time is 20 minutes for the selected compression level. Estimated disk count is 8 for 650 MB CDs or 2 for 4 GB DVDs.

When I put the media (a DVD) in my burner it doesn't work and I don't know why. I use 4.7 GB -R DVD, but I don't think it's the problem...

    Someone can help me ??

Sorry for the englsih, I do my best... I'm a french men (I stay in Quebec city)
    Thank's

DVD media must first be formatted to the UDF standard before TI will write to it. However, I would recommend using another hard drive, be it external usb, or internal as you are more likely to run into problems with putting the images on DVD and retrieving them later. Large hard drives are at the price where they cannot be ignored for this purpose.

    Hello Geronymo,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

The current version of Acronis True Image does not write to DVD disсs directly, instead it utilizes third party UDF packet DVD writing software. We may recommend you to install a UDF packet DVD writing software such as Ahead InCD or Roxio DirectCD, format DVD disсs by means of this software and then use formatted disсs with Acronis True Image.

Please also read more information about writing on DVD.

Please note that a possible workaround is to create image archives on local or network hard drives specifying the image archive split size and burn them to DVDs later.

We will certainly implement direct DVD recording in Acronis True Image in the future.

    Thank you.
