You should have 3 lines. Mine is..

So you only have 1 line? Could you check your method2.run? It will open in Notepad.

    method2.run have this

    add virtdrv d:\tbos.bin 1 TBOS /b
    set textline tbos.str "bootfile.exe" /b
    set textline tbos.str "image.exe /r /d:b0@0x1 /f:b2@0x1:"\IFW\Vista x32-1" /uy /v /a /o"
    set textline tbos.str "bootfile.exe /reboot" /a

    It's OK.

Do you now have tbos.bin in your D: drive?

Delete tbos.bin and tbos.str and double click method2.bat again.

What does tbos.str show this time?

OK. Delete the two files again.
Open method2.bin and add some line spaces. Then File, Save. Make it look like this.

Double click method2.bat again. Does that make a difference to tbos.str?

    My mistake. I meant method2.run.

Your Time Zone should be GTM +5 (the sign is reversed)

I've worked out what was wrong. It was the extra " "

    Use this in method2.run

    add virtdrv d:\tbos.bin 1 TBOS /b
    set textline tbos.str "bootfile.exe" /b
    set textline tbos.str "image.exe /r /d:b0@0x1 /f:b2@0x1:\IFW\Vista32 /uy /v /a /o"
    set textline tbos.str "bootfile.exe /reboot" /a

You file name will now be Vista32.tbi

    Is your tbos.str OK now?

    now we got this

    bootfile.exe
    image.exe /r /d:b0@0x1 /f:b2@0x1:\IFW\Vista32 /uy /v /a /o
    bootfile.exe /reboot

Great. Do you have UltraISO? Double click tbos.bin and it will open in UltraISO. You should see 6 files. Make sure bootfile.exe is 76 KB.

Create a folder in the D: drive called mata7tbos.

Put tbos.bin in D:\mata7tbos. Also, copy bootfile.exe from the "win" folder of
TBOSDT to D:\mata7tbos. This file is 180 KB.

Create a file called tbos.bat ... (Do this in Notepad and change
the name to tbos.bat) Paste the following 1 line.

    bootfile "D:\mata7tbos\tbos.bin"

    (File, Save)

The mata7tbos folder now contains three files.

    bootfile.exe
    tbos.bat
    tbos.bin

Do you have a floppy drive or a bootable USB stick?

Nice. A bit neurotic, but very nice. Since you like to play the name game, let's see how you handle this:

    System Backup - Month/Day/Year Time

Also, since IFW cannot restore active partitions without the use of boot media, which is something Acroinis TI can do, it doesn't make sense to store TIB files on your drive. Keeping that in mind, try this one on for size to replace the command line in your .bat file.

    BOOTFILE.EXE
    TBOS.STR
    TBOS.SYS
    TBOSLDR.

I did that previous line for you. I don't like dated backup files and that one looks too hard. Also, I don't backup to DVDs.

Well, that's not really true. Mata7 will be restoring without boot media shortly.

    Mata7,

Do you have image.exe and ifd.ini in the dos_tbos folder? If not, copy them there, delete tbos.bin and tbos.str and double click method2.bat.

Do you have 6 files in tbos.bin now?

I don't think you will need a bootable USB stick.

Check your method2.bat. Is it like this?

    tbosdt method2.run
    tbossys /f d:\tbos.bin bootfile.exe tbos.str image.exe IFD.ini

If your method2.bat is OK, PowerISO may be seeing tbos.bin differently from UltraISO. Try it with UltraISO.

    my method2.bat

    tbosdt method2.run
    tbossys /f d:\tbos.bin bootfile.exe tbos.str image.exe IFD.ini

i install ultraISO and got same resault 4 files

Thanks. I'm having trouble with this one.

image.exe and ifd.ini are in the dos_tbos folder along with all of the other files? They aren't in a folder inside the dos_tbos folder?

OK. Try it this way. Open tbos.bin in PowerISO or UltraISO. Drag image.exe and ifd.ini into the window. Click Save and close the program. Double click tbos.bin and it will open in PowerISO or UltraISO. Does it have 6 files now?
