    Hello,

I'd like to image my HD with "Image for DOS" but can't seem to find a way to select the HD as a whole which is possible in "Image for Windows".
One has to image each partition one by one in DOS or am I missing something?
    o_O

    Kind regards,

    PeterVO

To my knowledge, the current version supports partitions only. I haven't read much about the future 2.0 version (that is apparently on the drawing boards) but it may be able to do what you are after.

Terabyte has a free program called "Image All" that supplements Image for DOS to do exactly the job you want -- backup/restore entire drives. Image for DOS or Image for Windows is required for it to do anything functional.

Get it Yonder -- about one-third of the way down the page.

Have any members here successfully used ImageAll with IFD?

@BC- I only have one partition each on drives C, D, G, H so I have had no call to use ImageAll. However, I always read the IFD message board & have seen several posts about it. Those posts were user questions so I *assume* it works okay. You might take a look over there.

    Thanks bellgamin.

I have just been given a new HP laptop for work which has several partitions on the Hard Drive. I have already used IFW and IFD to image and restore these different partitions without any problems but I wanted to try ImageAll.

I have seen the newsgroup forums but not much detailed information there.

Maybe the new version 2.0 of IFW/IFD will incorporate the other essential accessory programs with a 1-click functionality ;)

I hope so. Terabyte closely monitors the message board & is very responsive to questions. However, Terabyte folks are very very smart, and they tend to make the erroneous assumption that I am, too.

Support request from Longboard > apply brakes > answer V_E_R_Y S_L_O_W_L_Y and use big print
