A convenient way to created consecutive full backup images with out filling up your hard drive.

This example requires three hard drives. C:drive for programs only, D:drive for data and E:drive for backup images.

    • Schedule four full backups for C:drive (programs). Each schedule runs once a month, on each consecutive Monday. Each image over rights itself once a month.
    • Schedule seven backups for D:drive (data). Each schedule runs once a week on consecutive days of the week. Each image over rights itself once a week.
This way you don't need to work with incremental backups or worry that your hard drive will fill to capacity.

Modify the number of schedules as required.

    See attached example

Sounds like a plan.... as long as E drive has a capacity greater than or equal to 4xCdrive in use + 7xDdrive in use, it won't fill up. But, as you say, one may want to use or be limited to using factors other than 4 and 7.
