IE Flaw Turns Your PC into Public File Server

    Disabling UAC in Vista or Windows 7 turns off Protected Mode, and can leave you vulnerable to the flaw. As can simply using IE in Windows XP with default security level settings.

    Given the above, unless you have also set the security level for the internet and local intranet security zones to high (not the default) and disabled Active Scripting in both zones, you are vulnerable.
