if I use IE to attach any file in Yahoo Mail, it will close. SBC Yahoo Browser (using teh IE engine) will close too.

attaching files in firefox works but i dont to teach my dad a new browser just because of this problem.

removing samurai HIPS and harden-it made no difference.

both my windows account and my dads are affected. what could be causing this??

edit: using IEtab, loading an attachment closes firefox. yikes!

doesnt help. IE closes after I click the "Attach Files" button (i first browse for the file of course).

i have 1536/384 dsl, so speed couldnt be a problem.

it only happens with IE, but i like i said, i dont want to teach my dad firefox for this.

its not filesize, i tried it with shortcuts and blank documents.

the files werent in use when i uploaded.

and lastly, disabling nod32 does not fix it either.

I also have a problem with Yahoo Mail in all IE based browsers. The problem is that I can´t attach files, I get "invalid filetype specified", very strange, but perhaps it´s because of my hardened system settings.
