IE, and Mozilla, favorites-bookmarks ongoing problems,need help

Ok, About 2 or 3 months ago, I switched to Mozilla, (not firefox) just Mozilla.
I have favotites on IE. and bookmarks on Mozilla. Now just a few minutes ago, IE decided to send all those favorites to my Mozilla without permission.
The bookmarks on Mozilla are important ones, and they are gone now, replaced with IE's. This happened to me one other time around a month ago. And somehow I got the old Mozilla bookmarks back that I want. (I think I re-installed Mozilla,or did a restore, I'm not sure) I have Windows XP.
How can I get the bookmarks back?
How can I STOP IE from thinking it can take over like that? LOL
I checked and Mozilla IS my default browser.
also, all my cookies are cleared or something, because I am having to sign in everywhere I go.

I don't know if Firefox is different, I have just plain Mozilla, and I don't see the export option anywhere. Thanks !!!

 

Well, I would show you with a pic, but I can't keep the dropdown open for the pic.
Under bookmarks there is:::
Bookmark this page
File Bookmark
Bookmark this group of tabs
Manage bookmarks
Personal toolbar folder<-- this one has "flyoff side" menu but no export.
(only my bookmarks)

Go back
Tiffanys bookmarks<--only my daughters bookmarks
Fairy anime doll maker

None of the rest have a "side" menu
Also I have checked all my other folders at the top menus, and I don't see export. I know there has to be an export somewhere, LOL

I clicked on bookmarks, then manage bookmarks The only things under manage bookmarks is,
Bookmarks for default
Personal toolbar folder
Go back and Tiffanys bookmarks.

No export.
I am not trying to be complicated, LOL I am just trying to explain it the best I can. Thanks

 

Ok I found it. It is at the top menu under tools after I open manage bookmarks. I didnt know there was a new menu at the top after manage bookmarks was opened.
