Wow, can't say I'm surprised here, it IS Microsoft anyway....

To anyone having issues with the installer hanging 1/4th the way through... turn UAC ON  reminds me of the old Call of Duty problem, the game wouldn't start up, because you had to change your microphone settings >.<

Just found this addition to my Program Files: -

...was obviously installed at same time as IE9 beta although only just discovered it. Safe to delete?

Indeed it is, but needing to have UAC running just to install is weird.

Not surprised. I think Adobe Acrobat 8 also required UAC to be enabled to install correctly.

Still not liking the beta. If I wanted Chrome I'd install Chrome.

My daughter said it best. She said it looked like a kid painted it.;)

I like it but it is cheap looking.

It does look a little funky, but I am a huge fan of simplicity. I'm not on my 20mbit line right now so I can't test the preformance much :doubt:

You want me to be a guinea pig?!

I have Total Uninstall 5 close at hand. Deletion is tempting. Heh heh

    Thanks for this info :thumb:

I don't particularly like the minimalist UI either, but at least in IE9 you can enable the favorites bar and the status bar. You can also move the refresh and stop buttons.

Been trying IE9 for a few days and I have to say I really like it. Seems v fast on my system and I think the new look and features are welcome.

I have not been able to download updates or whatever it is (Vista 32bit). After install it has been two hours and the download is stuck. I have tried many times,it's not working.

My only problem with it is that Norton Insight is not working, every other part of Norton's Browser protection and Safe Web is working perfectly fine.
