I am using WSA AV v8.0.3.3(Occurred during the past few versions too) and noticed that when I used WMP there is a padlock on the tray icon indicating it and indeed it is because it has prevented screenshot from being taken in wmp.

A check on the "protected applications(Advanced)" tab doesn't list any WMP entries.

No web browsers or apps that is being protected by identity shied running in the background so would like to know if it is a glitch?

Using Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 x86 fully patched, WMP v12.7601.17514.

No it isn't a bug. Check your WMP settings. WMP connects to web to check name of songs, artists, albums, codecs etc and I think that WMP uses iexplorer process to do so. So Identity shield protects it. I have WMP also protected.

Correct. WMP loads the IEFrame.dll which is invisibly protected. So does Outlook and other things. Which has been a source of strife for me in the past and made me a Sad Fox™.
