I need something that will change my IP number on the internet.... cable assigns the same number all the time which is always visible and thus am vulnerable. I realize that step 1 is to rid myself of cable and switch to ADSL which I plan on doing shortly. Anyway, I came across this forum and perhaps Javacool can enlighten me if ID Blaster will give me this level of protection I am seeking. I have followed up by reading the ID Blaster website but am not sure I really understand .... I must be suffering "blank memory" moments!! :) Thanks.

Unfortunately, changing your IP address is something your Internet Service Provider must do.

Your IP address will always uniquely identify your computer so that packets of data can be transferred to it - although with dynamic IPs you will get a new one at a scheduled interval.

    Best regards,
