Thats what I tried to do but I screwed up somewhere trying to install OA.I disable DW only because its a trusted program if it was malware then OOps.

    Ambient_88 tip
    - to right mouse select a file,
    - from context menu choose set to trusted

Is the easiest way to install

Ok I am stumped,Defensewall is running enable protection but know I can install anything with out any interaction as if was Disabled.I see the untrusted list of Applications such as browsers but when I open firefox I see 0 untrusted running on the main gui.I also thought it showed Defensewall on top bar sorta like sanboxie when browser was open.Whats going on it seems broken err.:doubt:

not true...at all. downloads from trusted sites, one can change the disposition of the installer from untrusted to trusted, or one can run the installer as trusted. for security apps downloaded from trusted sources, i personally change the disposition to trusted and secured so only trusted apps can affect it.

DW is a policy based Host Intrusion Prevention Solution. not a virtualization sandbox.

Been running them together since Feb 08. Think there may be a conflict that crops up about once a week where DrWatson crashes Firefox while it's running sandboxed. I have to use the 'big red button' to close it all down. Once I restart Firefox all is well again. Not sussed what causes it, but as it happens once every 10 to 15 hours of browsing it doesn't cause a big enough headache to bother me. I don't use an AV realtime. I have KAV on-demand only and I run a complete scan once every couple of weeks and nothing found in nearly 12 months. I do not browse safe sites 'all the time'. Admittedly, I stray off course...

@djohn: Wouldn´t it be better for avoiding potential conflicts, to remove all the untrusted applications in DW and only untrust the sandbox\%user% folder, and nothing else?

    /C.

Nothing to do with sandboxie at all. I removed sandboxie and clean up its left over folders etc.removed Defensewall and reinstalled it disabled OA just in case.Defensewall is not working at all there is no registry tracks as there was when I first installed it.The untrusted running above the red terminate show nothing when my browser is open but yet its in the untrusted application. Now I just reinstalled sanboxie with out the need to do anything at all its not working.

djohn, mail me to the support e-mail, I'll help. It's very strange issue.

Edited: please, check your DW installation is not expired if it's unregistered.

Hello Ilya and thanks for responding..I downloaded the trial around the time of this post it was working very well at first.I think I disabled the protection to install my firewall Online armor because I was not quite sure how to use the ubtrusted to trusted yet.Shortly after the re-enable it seems things when wrong kinda stange.Anyways its unregistered by does not show expired anywhere and its running in system tray normal as I can see.I emailed yu as per your request.thanks again for your time and effort.

Hi J does it make a difference if you shut down OA the reason I ask is OA did this to geswall and defensewall, shutting down was no help for me only the uninstall.
