    Don't worry about that Subratam!
Most people come here for security information and many of them don't have time to post in ten forward. And if you don't get any reply or comment, there may be all kinds of reasons but not necessarily because they don't like you. So, don't take it to heart! :)
Just keep posting and enjoy yourself!

And, I like reading your poems. The ice cream is a very sweet poem! I like it!

    CU!

    Hi Subratam ;)

I really like your Ice Cream poem too! :D

... and your other poems as well. I've bookmarked your poems on poetry.com. I have read through some but I am holding off on reading all of them in one go otherwise I would not appreciate as fully the points expressed.

My favorite poet is Robert Browning but there are many others that I like as well (Edmund Spenser, Robert Service, Omar Khayyam, Andrew Marvell, John Donne, and the list goes on ... :) )

I like the simplicity and unpretentiousness of your poems and yet they express their points very well.

You are a very welcome addition to the Wilders family!

I agree with that 100% !! The ancient Chinese had an verbal image that they used to express this. "Hidden Dragon" - it refers to the great potentiality of ability in everyone, and yet people may know they have it and keep it hidden for some reason, or may not know they have it because their circumstances had been such that they could not complete their growth as creative individuals. But in our lives it is always spring (if we care to really look around us), and we can always grow if we, stubborn or habit-prone as we are, just turn to face the sun.

not at all, we are just family here and there is no need to speak of "honour" (though the remarks I made are sincere)

True enough, though I prefer to say "behind every good man there is a great woman" :)

Here is a poem I wrote for the great woman in my life ;)

    The Likeness of You

Went I to the lake, and saw
    A Fairie-Night sky, shown
In the waves' sun-gleam, and thought
       of you.

Drove I to the ocean's shore, and saw
    Our mute exchanges
In the wave-wash ebb and flow, and sensed
       of you

    The warm and trembling life
    The passionate strife
That drives a restless flame, yet fades
       Before a girlish glow.

Traveled I to the desert's waste, and saw
    Our two selves' twinèd growth
In a flower's carnelian bloom, and sang
       of you.

not at all, we are just family here and there is no need to speak of "honour" (though the remarks I made are sincere)

now now now.... so... my "Anti-Trojan" is best it seems... catching out one of the deadliest from its dormant state huuh... see yalll
    what can this trojan do...
in a single word.... i find your creation "Romantic"
do accept a nice warm karma cookie from me. ;)

    hey all...
    houz ya doin??
see if yall like this...and UNDERSTAND ....our society
    Handicapped Society!!!!

He has been crying since morning
Nou fighting with the sun above
Trying to crawl but in vain
    Searching for care and love
    He is hungry too
And he needs something to eat
    But he is finding nothin
    Except dust and heat
    He dun understand wats happening
He is looking here and there
    Wat a welcome for him
He has just breathed fresh air
    None knoz wats his future
Whether he will continue to cry
Whether he will b a great man oneday
Or next moment he will die
    Who is responsible for this?
Who has left him in this way?
We r helpless to do anything?
We can do nothing but pray

    there lived two birds
    in an old banyan tree
they were happy on their own
    they were enjoying being free
    they did have many friends
    those also lived nearby
    whenever they got the chance
they just loved to fly high
    life never is the same
    it has happiness and pain
one day they went to village
to search and eat some grain
    but..oh God,villagers were ready
they had put a fatal trap
they hit arrows one by one
and the dead birds fell in earth's lap
    some flew away back home
and one was searching his friend
it was not hard but painful
to discover ,her life has seen end

    hmmm.... sad again.... is it??

    The Mystic Forest

    The trees murmur
    Words of gravity.
    Scents of cedar
    Invade the obscurity.
    Yes - I remember
    How you love her deeply

In the heart of the forest,
    Where the pines grow dark
    Sad birds sing the highest.
    Leaves tremble, branches crack
    Under a quivering nest
    Where dwells a winged monarch

    You are gone to heaven,
    Fluttering about with angels,
There is no pain, no burden
Just the music of celestial bells:
    "Farewell to warblers and ravens
    In heaven, I shall dwell".

Will you ever see her again,
The mystic forest you love so deeply?
Hear the cuckoos call, the kinglets refrain,
Breathe, breathe the air of eternity
That we both believed in vain
    Before it vanished away...

Your poems all so very sad,
    Embedded on some tear-soaked pad,
    All those heart-felt painful lines,
    Pouring from those saddened minds,

All those thoughts in tearful mist,
    Some never loving, never kissed,
So I depart this mournful list,

    I think I'll go and cut my Wrists. :D :D :D

back here again after hell lot of a days.. and yall know maybe what i have been passing thru... "other security issues.... i am DEVASTATED"... anyway i am unstoppable as i am also wilders... :)
this is one of my a lill-different poem.. i wrote when i was in class 7... actually i started writin from lot uonger than that.. u kno i am romantic... hahha :D
lemme see whether this piece of mine cath hold of any...
    Stranger
    I first met her,
in the thoughts of my own-
till then I did not know that
soon, she was going to conquer my heart....
    She then,slowly started to proceed,
    she knocked the door of my heart;
I could do nothing but give an answer
    she opened the closed door!!
which I thought would never be opened
    would never be cared upon...
    Then the two hearts melted-
then, again froze to be a single one
    bees buzzed in my ears
    "forget-me-not's" swayed before my eyes
    and,she?--she sat on the throne
in the kingdom of my existence...
    She named herself STRANGER!!!!
and, then I plunged into the depths.
of the sweet thoughts and memories
to sculpt the sweetiest one between them.....

Subratam, I hope you solved your computer problems by now..

    A Horse Named Trouble

I like to go to Horse Valley, :D
A place you can ride a horse or pony.
There is a vast ranch and a ring,
    to practice bareback bronco riding.

Many breeds you can ride on
    Appaloosas, Quarters, Percherons
    Paints, New-Forests, Morgans
    Even Canadians and Arabians

There is a wide choice you see,
Whichever you choose, no extra fee.
But to get the best of them
You have to show before ten a.m.

    I, being always late
Just lose control of my fate,
    There is only one available
It's an old mare called Trouble

I would rather take my bike with me
And pedal through a hot prairie
    For the problem with her
Is she has such a bad temper.

When I show into her stall
    She bucks, jumps and falls
    Shows her teeth and neighs
To keep me at bay. :p

    She would rather eat hay
    In her manger all day
Than have a load to carry
Over the fields of Horse Valley

It takes a lot of tact
Just to get on her back
    After long delibiration
    She will break into submission.

Then I can put the bridle on,
The saddle with the stirrup iron
the bit, and a flask of water
To drink in the hot weather.

Once on her, she starts to gallop
Runs and runs and never stops
The only thing I can do
Is throw my hat high up and yell: "Yahoo!" :D

    Thoughts
    The days were smooth
    The nights were fine
    And they became more beautiful
    Once u became mine.
    Thoughts of yours
    Took me to paradise
Whenever u were not in front me
    I just closed my eyes.
    It was impossible for me
Not to think of and about you
Coz love and care that u have given
Could b given by very few.
Now that I spend my days
    When you r not beside
    Tears I can suppress
    Feelings I can't hide.
    Yes, time have become winner
    To take you away
But that victory is too fragile
    Coz u r with me everyday .

    Very good Subratam! :)

Now, an x-mass poem I wrote recently.

    A Christmas Gathering

Christmas is the season of love...
    A holly-crowned dove
    Flutters over the place
    Leaving us merry-faced

Mom puts the turkey in the oven
All people talk in a rhythm
    Granny takes out her squeeze-box
And starts playing "Over the Rocks"

Kids sit around the Christmas tree
    Longing for their presents three.
Smells of fir and pine invade the room
And the fire is in bloom

    Burning logs crackle
Lulls asleep the baby in his cradle
Snowflakes keep falling, silver and gold
Covers the earth with a blanket of cold.

    Merry Christmas
    To all lads and lasses
    And to the sparkling star
That once led the kings afar.
