I want a list of working AVs that work well with win 8 64bit. That is all.

I know of avast and avg and zonealarm and comodo. So any other ones out there? What do you sue for your win8 64bit.

I will decide myself which to use. Please no comparing of A vs B. Just list all 64bit win 8 working AVs please.

 

Also any free snap-shotting apps that work on 64bit win 8 pro? I know CTM does not work on win 8 so any other ones? Thanks in advance.

 

A list? ALL major brands by now. Which one will work best for you? You have to try them. As something that works for me may not work for you. Its should be not too difficult to follow

almost products are now compatible with Windows 8, and x86 version also works with x64 architecture.
for image backup, I'm using Paragon Image Backup

Probably it did not like your system. This is why it is important to install the software anyway.

 

I tried panda cloud, avg, Comodo and non worked and had computability and install problem with 64bit win 8 pro. Finally avast free installed fine and I guess its so far the only working AV for my win 8 pro 64bit.

64bit win 8 is such a headache and incompatible OP system.

 

Avira installed perfectly on my machine.

 

It's rather your system having problems than AVs not compatible with WIN8...sorry to say

 

I went through a bunch of them that did not work on my win 8 pro 64bit. Panda cloud, avast internet security (just the firewall is incompatible), comodo and ended up with zonealarm free (zonelaram firewall was the only one I found working in 64bit win 8 so far) and trendmicro antivirus plus together. So I am using them for now.

Although thanks for all advice.

 

On my family 32 bit win8 pro only avast firewall had issue and I did not tried comodo with it.
