HUD

    Nicely illustrated. But none of the pics show CPU usage or disk activity while HUD is in use. Even just tapping the alt key to bring up the HUD menu is enough to get things going. At least on my system, both seemed quite high but then I don't understand what goes on behind the scenes which may totally justify such things.

    HUD is for geeks only. If you know what functionality you're looking for, yes it works fine, but normal people will not even know how to fire it up, distinguish between a 0.2 sec tap and a 0.5 sec press, which do different things, then look for gaussian filter in gimp ... right. It's not necessarily faster and more efficient, especially since typing something like diffuse light whatever takes effort.

    One more positive comment on HUD. They're pretty rare but if I come across them ;)
