which av's have http scannings?
The ones that I know of that have it:
Avast (free and pro)
Kaspersky(KAV and KIS)
Avira Premium Security Suite
F-Secure and F-prot have it iirc.
AVG will have it in the next version (v8).
F-Prot does NOT have http scanning.
Maybe he meant it has "Internet Explorer protection" and Internet Explorer "enable heuristic" as options under "Internet/E-mail" in version 6.0.8
That was probably it. I just confused the two
Are you sure F secure has http scanning?
yes it has, it's disabled by default
erm yes, its one of the best available in my opinion.
works extremely well with their automatic removal.
resource usage was very bad with 2007 version, any difference? No, i will not try it out myself until i heear some good comments.
I believe Panda has a version of it also.
Is there a situation where the HTTP scanner will pick something up where the filesystem monitors won't?
But I would take Avira PE without HTTP scanning, over most AVs that do offer HTTP scanning.
You're not alone....
Panda does indeed have http scanning...
Hrmms, are the malicious files not caught as they are executed in the memory of the browser?
Separate names with a comma.
