Faithful? Not sure everyone would agree. Forums are full of user complaints of devices disconnecting or failing to connect. Yes, it has been pretty reliable over all, but it has not been as "universal" as its name implies. But in fairness, I suspect many of the problems users encounter are due to device makers failing to ensure their products strictly adhere to the standards - probably due to cost cutting measured.
