Hi:thanks I have unchecked that net-bios over TCP/IP but I still get a lot of attacks via UDP port 137 /port 139 BTW:I do not have any file or printing sharing so what is going on !!! I would like to close port 139 and port 137 thanks in advance.
Hello, As you have bind NetBIOS with NetBEUI protocol which is not portable, nothing is going on, and your port 137-139 are stealth from the outside. Depending on you firewall and the way you log events what you see are just scans detected by your FW to which it does not respond. Most of them should come from infected servers by virus/worm opasoft seeking to find sensible machines. Take it easy, no problem for you, furthermore you have no shares activated Rgds,
Hi:thanks a lot after I unchecked the net-bios over TCP/IP every-time I tried To connect To the net (dial-up) I get a prompt about entering My ISP password and the box To save that password is grayed out any idea many thanks .
