Does anyone know how to go about stoping the WHOIS command? Do I contact the folks over at VeriSign?

    Hi Bongo,

I'm a bit in the dark here; could you be more specific?

    regards.

When you use the WHOIS command from a unix treminal or go to VeriSign's WHOIS web page and enter your corporate domain you will get information such as IP ranges that should not be viewed by the public for security reasons. There is a way to block this but i am not sure how...

    Bongo,

I get the picture now. As far as I know, spoofing domain info could very well be illegal. I suggest checking this first.

As far as security issues are concerned: a DdOS attack is the only one that comes to mind right now. Technically, there are solutions for those.

    regards.
