How to securely erase hard drives (HDDs) and solid state drives (SSDs)

    Not sure about the hammer and nail method. What I do if the drive needs to be destroyed is to drill 3 holes (where the red X and 2 green stars are) with a carbide tip high-speed drill bit. Works like a champ.
