How to remove Win32/TrojanDownloader.Delf.OIJ

Hello everyone,

I received an e-mail from a friend tonight. The picture I clicked in the e-mail was actually a link to a website. It was blocked by NOD32. My computer is protected by Nod32 v. 3. Her computer I am not sure, but believe it to be AVG or Avast free edition.

The virus is: Win32/TrojanDownloader.Delf.OIJ

I would like to send her instructions of how to remove the
Win32/TrojanDownloader.Delf.OIJ virus from her computer?
Does anyone know how to remove it? Is there a special program for this?

Nothing special , AFAIK . To begin with , tell her perform full scans with the online scanners I have links in my signature (ESET and Microsoft) . Most likely they will find the malware and offer removal/deletion .

The scan can be performed from Safe Mode with Networking .

If this doesn't work , offer her a better protection with a trial version of ESET Smart Security or ESET NOD32 .

I saw that the ESET Brazilian site has an online scanner in; so I sent her there. The site is in Portuguese.
I am glad that Nod32 blocked the virus from hitting my computer.

You are welcome ! It is the same scanner I gave you link to but localized . The MS online scanner will also load in your local language.
