The computer I'm on isn't in great shape the hard disk cannot complete a scandisk and any disk programs like diskeeper can't run on it without freezing up. The computer doesn't have alot of time left and I need to save all the programs that my friend uses since he cannot get the installation disk again, how do I go about doing this?

This pc doesn't have a cd burner on it....

    Thanks.

Well the harddrive dying isn't the same as the whole computer going out. I would just go get another drive, you can find some pretty cheap at http://www.pricewatch.com

Then just put it in as a secondary drive (slave) and copy everything over. When you eventually get a new computer you can just move the new drive to that computer for extra storage :)
