   I still wonder if an old Samsung that got stolen years ago was encrypted or not. I don't think I ever enabled encryption on this phone, but if I read this article, it probably was encrypted by default. I think it was a Samsung Galaxy S5. And BTW, it was from a friend since I don't buy crap from Samsung.
