    35secs, win 7 32bit.

    That is rather strange... my e5300 (2.6GHz like yours) with only 1GB RAM boots up in 35 secs, if i increase it to 2GB or more it will take around 28secs as i have seen in a friend's identical setup. But my HDD is a WD 7200RPM, if that should make any difference.
    And in the 10months i have installed 7 there has been no slowdown whatsoever as people say sometimes.
    I have the security setup in my sig with nor realtime av as well. Autostart is just sandboxie.

    Net book: 7 seconds

    Laptop: 30 Mins

    Desktop: 45 mins

    in my Core i7 8GB W7 machine it take like 25 seconds and i suspect my big problem is the 1TB HDD i want to see and huge improvement when i throw an SSD Flash Drive inside of my PC
