What percentage of your file system is secured by strong encryption? By "strong encryption", I'm referring to drives, files, or partitions encrypted with strong algorithms such as, IDEA, DES, Blowfish, etc, not windows EFS or some obscure "proprietary" algorithm.

11% of all my total hard drive space is encrypted. If I don't include the backup partitions that contain system images and update files, that percentage becomes 27%.

A test system I'm working on is presently 85% encrypted, aiming for 100%.
    Rick

Most of it is Blowfish encrypted.

I have one encrypted partition to store personal data should the machine
be compromised by attack, theft, etc. Roughly 20%. Cascaded cyphers.

    Hello,

Data that is backed up to external hard drives is encrypted, a total of 660GB out of 1.52TB, but it all also exists in unecrypted form. A bit more on hard disks is encrypted, approx, 5GB, but again, the same data is also present in the unecrypted form. I don't keep any data only as encrypted.

Plus, my work laptop is fully encrypted, 60GB.

My swap is encrypted with blowfish (done by default) and that is it. When I get a laptop (in January) I will have /home fully encrypted and /tmp as well probably. I really don't care if they see what programs I use...

    Cheers,

None here. I don't do banking online anymore, and frankly I don't think I need it.

Encrypted files, yes, but only at work. All outbound emails are encypted, some on inbound rcvd. Aggregate total per day won't pass 5%, but sometimes volume are hugh.

Have personal files in a 1GB file created by Dekart Private Disk.
Can be mounted and unmounted when I want.

Don't use it very often so not much inconvenience.

    Means -
    1.
if laptop stolen only sensitive data lost is username and password to wilders :)
    2.
No concerns about outbound data theft.

I chose 100%, but it is my external hard drive on which I have sensitive files. It is only connected for backups then disconnected. SHA-1, AES 256. Though prepared to Blast the drives if NSA agents attack.

For drive encryption, I use the maximum of what the built-in Windows BitLocker can offer to my Win7 Ultimate x86 running on an Acer Aspire 5100-5033.

I also got WinZip Pro (latest version), and I encrypted some files with it. I used the strongest AES algorithm, together with very secure passwords.

For Password Management, I chose RoboForm Pro + GoodSync Pro and everything is encrypted using the strongest AES algorithm, together with very secure passwords, as well.
