How many security programs do you use in real time?
-Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 CF1 (22.214.171.1240 a.b) configured and password protected
-Prevx SafeOnline Facebook (126.96.36.199) configured and password protected
-WinPatrol PLUS 2010 (19.0.2010.0) configured
-DefenseWall Personal Firewall (3.0 configured and password protected
-Wondershare Time Freeze (2.0) password protected
I only voted 1 (Prevx) as I didn`t think to include the firewall.
No1 - Sandboxie
No2 - Returnil
Sandboxie, Keyscrambler, WinPatrol Plus, and the XP Firewall.
NIS & MBAM Pro.
Like a lot here I suppose I have different set-ups as I look after on a number of machines but as far as real time goes, it's like the Sith - 'always 2 there are, no more no less'. If you pick 'em right I can't see why you would need more but each to their own.
NAV 2011 & OA Premium
OA++ & Sandboxie (paid)
Avast Free & Malware Defender
Shadow Defender & Defensewall
KIS 2011 & PrevX SOL (koobface....I mean facebook freebie)
I keep promising to pick 2 and set up all machines similarly but I'm too much of a tinkerer and would end up constantly swapping in & out like a few here. This gives me lots to play with but consistent, high performing machines.
All where light or application virtualisation is not noted will have Returnil, Shadow Defender or SBIE on demand. All have HMP & MBAM on demand. All have regular Macrium Reflect backups which are as important as anything else.
Most of the time Avira10 Premium + Sandboxie, sometimes Avira10 Premium + ShadowDefender.
ESET NOD32,Sandboxie,Outpost Firewall Pro,Keyscrambler Pro
Only one: Microsoft Security Essentials 2 Beta
I voted 5, but then realized I use 6 in real time.
Comodo Internet Security
Malwarebytes Anti-malware protection and website blocking enabled
Spybot Search and destroy Tea-Timer/SD-Resident
Malware Defender and Emsisoft Anti Malware
DefenseWall (+) KeyScrambler Pro
Just Eset Smart Security 4,2 and Windows defender.
Avast & Keyscrambler
Currently 1, at most I've had two. I find it hard to understand how many people can run 5 or more security programs without slowing down their PC too much (or without making the PC feel bloated). Even seeing 5 different tray icons would be a pain for me.
Two: Prevx/SOL + Private Firewall. These 2 have the following 7 security components:
Prevx/SOL: AV + anti-keylogger + behavior blocker + anti-drive-by
PFW: FW + HIPS + Anomaly detection
Currently using AVG only so mine is 1
KIS only in windows with browser sand boxed
Online Armor Free w/Run Safer,
avast! Free w/all shields active &
MBAM real time.
2: Panda Cloud + Rising PC Doctor
Though I am still in the process of finding the perfect setup, so much software to try so hard to chose the perfect one.
My real times Currently are:
Comodo Firewall and Defense plus (set to highest setting)
Blueridge Appguard (Paid)
Microsoft Security essential (set to highest setting)
Malwarebyte Antimalware (Paid)
Separate names with a comma.
