Okay so now I have a question. Looking at my machine right now and comparing with The Seeker, I have 66 processes to his 25, but my commit Charge is running at 21.38%. Does the 66 process really matter that much, if the commit charge is that low?

23 Processes without IE running, of course i normally have anywhere from 6- 10 IE windows open when online so that would increase the processes respectively.

I have about anywhere between 37 and 44 usually. I run a few things like spyware blaster and windows defender, so they account for a few processes. What's the most that someone's ever had? Would a really large no. eg. 50 + suggest an infection of something if most programs like anti-spyware etc were disabled? Thanks

    sonicstage
IE7 (just for runescape online java game) jagex the company needs to make runescape work better with firefox and opera
    wlm
    opera (for most stuff)
    so 48 isnt to bad.
3 processes are for creative sound card lol
    3 are for hp printer
    2 for wacom tablet
1 for ipoint mouse driver from ms
1 for itype keyboard driver from ms
2 for acronis true image dono if i can disble them from starting at boottime but i leave them just in case
its like 51 processes when diskeeper is defragging.

26 at the moment, 24 minus FF at a whopping 75m and task manager. At least 3 of those I could do w/out at boot, but my boot time from button-press to read-to-run-an-app is just under 50 seconds, so I'm happy. Boot-time might drop if I uninstalled the Vista Transformation Pack, but it looks so nice I just can't bear to do it. Going back to plain ol' XP at this point would feel like trading in a Caddy for a Gremlin. (Never mind that either way it's still an Escort engine under the hood! :D )
