mrpink, you just saved my life. I was looking for a video downloader extension for Chrome and I saw your SS. Thank you.
I use none, I prefer to use a web browser which has every feature I need included as standard rather than using extensions. I do have three extensions installed on Chrome on my work desktop, which I rarely use. I only ever use Chrome for testing websites to see if they render properly on Chrome as well as IE.
Just found it myself, don't know how good it is. It failed to download a dailymotion video that i tried. FVD Downloader succeeded https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/fvd-video-downloader/lfmhcpmkbdkbgbmkjoiopeeegenkdikp
It says it doesn't download YT. Oh, stupid Google and their no download policy. Don't they know some people need to watch tutorials over and over again? I don't want to acquire those videos from the browser cache.
6 enabled ABP CS Lite Mod HTTPS-Everywhere NoScript RequestPolicy WOT 1 disabled Element Hiding Helper for Adblock Plus
For YT you can use this userscript http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/25105 You can install it w/o Tampermonkey if you want but, you can not autoupdate it w/o Tampermonkey
ScriptSafe is a lot less annoying than NoScript thanks to Block Unwanted Content/Cookies. Just change default mode to Allow to enjoy relaxing web browsing with some content/script blocking. Love its syncing as well. Wasn't the case for me, maybe it's all those addons, but my profile always needed serious cleaning after a month. Froze more as well. Really, if you think only Firefox has great extensions and custom features, then your head is years behind. Even its extra edge in complexity is something only some techies enjoy. By default, it's proven in Pwn2Own and the like. If you think adding extensions like NoScript is fair, then you're on your own. 1. Bombermine (made by me) 2. Dueling Network (made by me) 3. Adblock Plus 4. Ads Skipper (userscripts.org) 5. BackspaceMeansBackspace (chromeextensions.org) 6. Beat the Boot (by Google) 7. LastPass 8. Linkclump 9. Mailto: 10. ScriptSafe 11. Selection Search 12. Short URL Expander/Cleaner 13. TrafficLight 14. VTchromizer 15. Webcomic Reader (userscripts.org) 16. WOT 17. X-notifier (for Gmail™,Hotmail,Yahoo,AOL...) More if you include Apps like Angry Birds

NoScript ABP Download Helper @GrafZeppelin, check DownloadHelper (Firefox) for downloading videos from Youtube, Vimeo, etc. Very useful tool, works just about everywhere. Bo
Thanks for the links. I've heard mrpink's script suggestion mentioned by quite a few people as well. Might be playing with that, I'm curious. There's no Chrome version. I've used it in the past when I was still using Firefox and satisfied with it, though there's another extension that made me switched instantly. The name's: Download YouTube Videos as MP4. Might want to check it out.

I used to use DownloadHelper too... great addon! But by now I've grabbed everything I could ever want, so no longer any use. Used to use Download Statusbar as well. It was great how it made VT Hash Check autofire to scan downloads. But ever since Firefox added that "down arrow" download thingy, it no longer works. Some people swear it still does on their box, but I've tried EVERYTHING I tell you, to no avail. So I just can't believe them. But oh well. I can still scan it before it leaves the sandbox manually. And it's 1 less thing to allow in my SBIE restrictions (for both Start/Run & Internet Access). And 1 less addon to lug around. So I'll live. And used to use VTzilla too, but realized it used a decent amount of memory. And with Comodo DNS, WOT, NoScript, and running sandboxed, not to mention I just don't click on random links... it just wasn't doing me much good being there. Used Ghostery, but realized CS Lite Mod made half of it redundant. And the other half was almost all overlap with NoScript & Request Policy. Plus I have reasons to not trust it wholeheartedly. Flashblock, again overlap. BetterPrivacy became redundant after a Firefox update where they started treating flash cookies just like any cookie. RefControl, become redundant once I realized I could block referrers via an about:config tweak. ... so I used to have a lot more, and trimmed it down considerably. And Firefox is noticeably more responsive as a result.
I just started using this Avast Chome Extension. Has it ever been Tested by anyone. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/avast-online-security/gomekmidlodglbbmalcneegieacbdmki
I have 3 Firefox and 2 Pale Moon. Each has it's different use. My heaviest Firefox has 50 enabled and 16 disabled. My lightest Pale Moon has 13.
