When i look at the Chrome Plug-ins i see SWF 12. I don't think i ever used SWF so should i disable it for better security.
LastPass together with either HTTP Switchboard, AdBlock or Ghostery, so it's always only two running at the same time.
I just added Facebook Purity which lets you filter out a lot of unwanted content from Facebook. I installed it so that that I could hide the new trending topics feed. However, you can also filter out a lot of other things, such as ads, and even get it to hide offline friends from chat.
Adblock Plus Ghostery Google Docs LastPass TrafficLight YouTube Center HTTPS Everywhere I have been thinking in remove HTTPS Everywhere... ZenMate is good to use full time?
I tried ZenMate and it didn't worked good for me. I will remove HTTPS Everywhere too. Adblock Plus (Easylist + Malware Domains + Fanboy's Social Blocking List + EasyPrivacy) and Ghostery is an overkill? One of them is enough?
Re: Session Manager Which one is that? I have yet to find a decent session manager for Chrome. Session Buddy is the best that I could find. Session Manager by Michael Kraft for Firefox is awesome.
For the first time since I'm using Chrome or Chromium-based browsers, now I have two extensions simultaneously. Just recently using HTML5 video for YouTube extension. hxxps://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/html5-video-for-youtube/dolajcekhnohkpncmhgledbmndjpblei?utm_source=chrome-ntp-icon It's not perfect (I still can't watch some videos), but it minimizes my needs of Adobe's Flash Player a lot. At least until HTML5 became a common thing. Installing one more extension is still less risky than Flash.
Used to use loads, on Chrome, Opera and Firefox; but, realized that only a few are needed - cutting it all down, back to basics (for simplicity, RAM, etc.); so, for example, instead of using Facebook Purity and a bunch of others - each for a specific task - now I only have: Adblock Plus NoScript && sometimes, perhaps, like a Theme Add-on; or like a download manager, whatever.
With the Chromebleed extension for Google’s Chrome web browser, if the site is vulnerable to Heartbleed, you’ll get a Chrome notification with near-instant checks of every site you’re on. More info on Chromebleed here. Anybody install it yet?
In installed chromebleed yesterday, hope it does what it's supposed to do. It even gave me a warning about wilderssecurity that "might" be a risk to heartbleed !
Here are my Chrome extensions: Adguard AdBlocker Clickable Links Copy Link Text Downloadr - Download Manager Empty New Tab Page Extensions (its just a toolbar button) LastPass PushBullet Snap Links Lite Sticky bookmarks Stylish Tampermonkey Xmarks I also have two disabled extensions: Adblock Plus Stylist
only Ghostery. i enabled GhostRank because that's how they make their money. they can sell my data to whoever they want to for all i care.
Understood. On my part though, I've banned Evidon out of my life. And gorhill's work is way too valuable for me to ditch.
