    Larry,

Did you verify what mode the BIOS states for the drive? This is usually the maximum speed supported by the drive.

In Windows, when you can't change from PIO mode because it won't let you, it may work to use Device Manager to uninstall the IDE Controller (right-click >> uninstall) and then reboot. This forces Windows to reinstall and redetect the devices/drives. In all cases where I've had to do this, it has worked to enable DMA access.

I wish this forum gave notification of replies but appreciate the help.
I'm not sure what you mean about the BIOS but will check it out.
Right after this post, I'll uninstall in Device Manager

    Thank you

Check your settings in your user control panel.

After fixing the Current transfer mode to DMA from PIO, I notices a couple improvements.
My original disk boots a lot faster and cloning only took around 6 hours.

However, I still get a disk error when I replace with the new disk.
When I got the error, I put the boot disk in and tried to boot to Windows but it wouldn't.
The last clone was done in Windows on "Automatic"

Additionally, I still can't get Acronis to find any other disk than the original when I try to perform a backup.

I saved the sysinfo as txt and attached

    I appreciate all the help.

    Hello Larry,

Thank you for using Acronis True Image

It appears that we need several files to investigate the issue (I tried to avoid it). Please send me your e-mail address via PM, I will create a separate case for you to operate with the attachments.

    Thank you.
