How effective is ThreatFire?

    Yep,

    It is amazing how people tend to keep their nick's the same all over the place. Kees is such a common name when I was born there are heaps of Kees1958 active in several fora. So only computer security or securty vendor related Kees born in 1958 could be me. Apperently few Kees are active in security.

    Why don't you try Spyshelter it is Polish and a freebie. Set it to auto allow signed programs (or only microsoft signed) and it is really a good program.

    Yeah Bellgamin it hooks a lot out of the System Service Dispatch Table

    I have SS on each of my 3 computers :) 2 x Premium and 1 x Personal Free and on two there is "medium - auto allow" (wife and son) and on my is "ask user". It's very nice and usefull but sometimes I install on my lap another kind of HIPS/monitor/blocker...sometimes is TF, sometimes is SSM or DSA...sometimes is Malware Defender...just to recall a program...just for fun :)
