I don't really see it as useful right now personally in my setup. Thats why I'm not using it currently despite being free for about a year and being light. Really like the app though.

IDK I monitored its CPU and RAM usage for a while. I actually couldn't justify taking it off of my setup haha it's just so light.

I use it to limit applications and I feel that that's enough to justify the minute amount of resources it uses.

The usage is indeed light no denying that. I just rather not have another security app I'm not finding a particular use for loading when windows starts up. Its good you found a use for it. Maybe I will change my mind later but right now, I'm good with what I have.

I found it too bothersome, especially with downloads and installs. I removed it.

anyway is it mamutu needed this days?even when most antiviruses have proactive defense

Much lighter than an antivirus and it can be used in different wys.

It depends J on your security setup and also the anti-virus/anti-malware app(s) you use. Not all anti-virus/anti-malware apps have good proactive defense. It is also how you use mamutu, reference to Hungry Man's comment about using it in different ways.

Mamutu is one of the best (if not the very best) second layer security aproach.

The other one would be ThreatFire, if it hadn't been let down by Symantec.

I have Mamutu along Avast and I can say: light, effective, updated (supported, in fact) daily.
    Highly recommended.

The thing i like most about Mamutu is that it's contantly developed and there are updates everyday for it's modules. (Signature updates) :D

With signatures i don't mean it has a scanning engine but it does uses some kind of signature which i can't confirm right now since i'm on my other partition of Windows that has no security software LOL

Yes the whitelist is really great.

I've managed to configure my entire system with Mamutu, blocking suspicious activities in many many applications.
